Make shift work joyful and effortless
Hi, we are Staffomatic. With over 50k users in Europe, we develop solutions to improve working life and ensure happy and loyal employees. We focus on innovative products around duty scheduling.
We are expanding our team and are looking for an experienced and highly motivated Fullstack React &amp; Ruby on Rails Engineer (m/f/x).
You will play a key role in our Product team and work closely with us.
We are looking forward to getting to know you!
Cheers, Kalle (Co-founder &amp; CTO)
<h2>Aufgaben</h2>
As a Fullstack React &amp; Ruby on Rails Engineer (m/f/x), you will actively shape and evolve our workforce management platform together with a small, experienced team based in Hamburg or remote.
You will:
<ul>
<li>Take an active role in our Ember.js → React migration</li>
</ul>
(React, Tailwind, Tanstack-Router, Capacitor.js)
<ul>
<li>Advance and maintain our Rails-based REST API</li>
</ul>
(Rails, MySQL, Redis, Memcached, RSpec, …)
<ul>
<li>Design and implement new product features end to end</li>
<li>Continuously evaluate, improve, and refactor existing code</li>
<li>Contribute to architecture decisions and technical direction</li>
<li>Be part of our agile planning and delivery process</li>
</ul>
<h2>Qualifikation</h2>
<ul>
<li>Strong experience with React and modern frontend development (state management, component architecture, hooks, performance, e2e testing)</li>
<li>Practical experience building production-grade React applications</li>
<li>Solid understanding of modern frontend tooling and ecosystems (Tanstack-Router, Tailwind, Vite/Webpack, REST APIs, etc.)</li>
<li>Professional experience with Ruby on Rails, including working on APIs and business logic (Rails, MySQL, Memcached, Redis, RSpec, GitHub, …,)</li>
<li>Ability to design and implement complex features with non-trivial business requirements</li>
<li>Comfortable working with remote and on-premise teams</li>
<li>Native German speaker and fluent in English</li>
<li>Enthusiasm for AI technologies and hands-on experience using AI-powered tools to improve development workflows</li>
</ul>
<h2>Benefits</h2>
Very few meetings with no hierarchy based system and zero binding team events - which doesn't mean that we don't like to meet and do something cool ;)
<ul>
<li>We ensure flexible work for our developers, and all of our processes are designed for remote work</li>
<li>The necessary hardware will be provided, choose your own hardware!</li>
<li>We enable the team to work in Cape Town once a year - maybe you will also like to escape the winter. ;)</li>
<li>We live our mission and maintain a transparent and innovative company culture - we are really proud of ourselves as a team.</li>
<li>If you would like to come into the office: Our office is in the middle of St Pauli and is equipped with everything you need (drinks, fruit, coffee, table tennis, awesome view to the shipyards...).</li>
<li>Would you like further training? You will get our full support there.</li>
<li>Also: BAV subsidy &amp; more;)</li>
<li>Every two weeks, we meet at the office for a team lunch. Once a month, this includes our "Sparkle in Your Eye" session – a casual talk where one of us shares a topic they’re passionate about, whether it’s work-related or not.</li>
</ul>
We live our culture
A great working atmosphere, an open feedback culture and professional standards - that is the basis for a successful company.
Flexible working environment
Home office or hybrid work? No problem! Either way you will also feel just like at home with us in the office - But you decide!
Great challenges
We are growing and want to grow even stronger! With our high standards of culture and a top team, we will exploit the huge potential, develop ourselves further and learn a lot.
We love efficiency
Very lean processes, short decision-making paths and (almost) no rules save us a lot of nerve wrecking stuff that would keep us from doing the essentials.
We solve problems
What we do has meaning and does help others. To hear that from our customers makes us proud. To keep it that way, we stay innovative.
Sounds like a match?
We’d love to hear from you – just send us your application through our form.
Looking forward to meeting you!
