Working Student – Hardware Development & Testing Support (m/f/d)

Your Role

We’re looking for a motivated and hands-on student to join our hardware team and actively contribute to turning innovative concepts into reliable, high-quality hardware. In this role, you’ll be involved in every stage of the development cycle - from early prototyping and soldering to setting up test fixtures and test software development. You’ll gain valuable, practical experience while working closely with our engineers to bring ideas to life.

Your mission

• Assembling and soldering hardware prototypes
• Assisting with bring-up and debugging of new PCB designs
• Developing and maintaining simple Python-based test scripts
• Documenting and maintaining in house and external tests (development and production)
• Supporting test fixture development and setup
• Performing functional tests and documenting results

Your profile

• Enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master’s program in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a similar field
• Hands-on experience from labs or personal projects
• Basic PCB design understanding (e.g., KiCad, Eagle...) and initial experience with soldering
• Familiar with lab equipment: multimeter, oscilloscope, power supplies
• Comfortable with Python for test scripting (e.g., PySerial, PyVisa)
• Basic C for microcontroller bring-up or test firmware is a plus
• Capable of assisting in building and maintaining test setups/fixtures
• Structured and quality-conscious approach to handling prototypes
