Teamwork

spotixx is a growing fintech with around 60 team members based in Frankfurt and Wilhelmshaven. We are among the fastest-growing fintech companies in Germany. As a self-funded company, we have the freedom to shape our own path.

We develop secure, scalable solutions that enable financial institutions to collaborate on detecting and preventing financial crime: without exposing sensitive data. Our platform combines privacy-enhancing technologies with modern cloud infrastructure, operating under strict EU data protection and regulatory requirements.

We are looking for a Full-Stack Developer to build and evolve our platform across both our Python backend services and React frontend. You will work on features end-to-end, from API design through to UI, in a small team where your work has real impact on financial crime prevention for European banks.

Tasks

You build and extend our Python API services (FastAPI), designing RESTful endpoints, implementing business logic, and integrating with partner systems.

You develop responsive, accessible UI components in React with TypeScript and contribute to data visualisation for fraud analytics.

You work across the full stack, taking features from concept through to a polished user experience.

You write meaningful tests (pytest, Vitest) and maintain type safety across backend and frontend.

You use AI tools as a core part of your development workflow: code generation, testing, debugging, and documentation. You help shape how the team works with these tools.

You collaborate closely with product, design, and engineering to deliver solutions that meet both technical and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

What you bring:

Professional full-stack development experience in production environments (4+ years).

Strong Python skills, ideally with FastAPI or similar async frameworks, and comfortable with type annotations.

Experience with modern React (hooks, functional components) and TypeScript.

Solid understanding of RESTful API design, authentication patterns, and request validation.

A testing mindset: unit and integration testing across frontend and backend.

Hands-on experience with AI development tools (e.g. Claude, Cursor, Copilot) and genuine interest in integrating them into your workflow.

Comfort working in regulated environments (GDPR, financial services).

Strong communication skills and a collaborative, reliable working style.

Excellent English skills; German is welcome but not required.

Nice to have:

Docker and containerised development workflows.

GCP or equivalent cloud platform experience.

CI/CD pipeline experience (GitHub Actions preferred).

Financial services, RegTech, or regulated industry experience.

Data visualisation libraries (D3, Recharts, or similar).

Interest in cryptography or privacy-enhancing technologies.

Benefits

Meaningful work: Help prevent financial crime and strengthen trust in digital finance across Europe.

Growth: Work with cutting-edge technology: privacy-enhancing tech, secure multi-party computation, AI-native engineering.

Impact: Direct influence on product and architecture decisions in a small, growing team.

Flexibility: Up to 100% remote work and flexible hours that fit your life.

Culture: Flat hierarchies, open communication, and a diverse, international team that values collaboration.

Compensation: Competitive salary and benefits package.

We welcome applications from all qualified individuals. Diversity enriches our team and makes us stronger. Your perspective matters, regardless of gender, age, origin, religion, sexual orientation, or disability. Applicants with disabilities will be given preference when equally qualified.

We look forward to hearing from you!
