Internship Project Title:

“Simulate to Innovate: Rooftop Solar Plant Design & Performance Estimation( beginner level) using PVsyst solar simulation software”

Project Objective:

To equip students with hands-on skills in solar system design and performance analysis using PVsyst software, enabling them to simulate a complete solar PV plant scenario (preferably rooftop), interpret results, and prepare a beginner level simulation report.

Eligible Students:

• B Tech / Diploma (Electrical, Energy, Renewable, Mechanical)
• MSc (Physics / Energy / Environmental Studies)
• BSc (Physical Sciences) with interest in solar energy

Tools Required:

• MS Excel or Google Sheets (mandatory)
• PV SYST software (we will provide you access)
• Internet for your video training

Industry Mentor/guide will be provided throughout internship

Learning Outcomes:

• Understand core simulation concepts (Meteo data, orientation, losses, etc.)
• Perform complete PV system simulation (1–50 kWp range)
• Generate yield, loss diagram, and financial estimates
• Interpret performance indicators like PR, CUF, etc.
• Create a basic techno-commercial simulation report
