Senior SAP Test Manager (Budapest)

We are currently supporting a major international SAP S/4HANA transformation program and are looking for an experienced Test Manager to join the local rollout activities in Hungary.

The consultant will play a key role in managing and coordinating the end-to-end test process, supporting integration and data migration topics, and ensuring smooth collaboration between the central implementation team, local stakeholders, and external suppliers.

• Review, validate and localize the test scope and strategy provided by the central project team
• Coordinate the identification and documentation of local test cases (SAP, SAP BW, and non-SAP systems) in close collaboration with business departments
• Develop and maintain the local test plan and schedule
• Plan and allocate local testing resources and assign tasks to testers
• Track progress, manage test quality gates, and report on test status
• Coordinate the assessment of interface-related test scope
• Oversee and support testing across the full integration landscape
• Track and report on data migration and cleansing activities performed by external suppliers
• Coordinate local data cleansing tasks and ensure timely execution
• Act as the primary contact for the central implementation team (English-speaking environment)
• Collaborate closely with internal testing teams and local project stakeholders across functional areas

• Minimum 6+ years of professional experience in Test Management in large-scale SAP implementation or rollout projects, ideally in multinational environments
• In-depth knowledge of SAP S/4HANA, especially in testing, validation, and defect management processes
• Proven experience with the coordination of complex integration testing scenarios, including cross-system dependencies (SAP & non-SAP)
• Solid understanding of data migration and data cleansing processes
• Experience in planning and managing test execution across cross-functional teams (including business, IT, and third-party vendors)
• Familiarity with test tools and reporting dashboards (e.g. HP ALM, SAP Solution Manager, or similar)
• Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to facilitate communication between central/global and local teams
• Excellent organizational and documentation skills – able to maintain structured test plans and clearly report testing status
• Fluent English communication (verbal & written) is essential; Hungarian is a plus
• Comfortable working in a hybrid/remote environment with occasional onsite meetings/workshops
