The Role
We’re on the hunt for a Teir I Helpdesk Technician to become a crucial part of our expanding team in Virginia. This position is ideal for a hands-on IT professional who thrives in client-facing environments, excels in troubleshooting, and enjoys working with a wide range of diverse technologies.
Tasks
- Provide first-level technical support to clients by diagnosing and resolving issues related to hardware, software, and network connectivity.
- Respond to customer inquiries through phone, email, or chat in a timely and professional manner, ensuring high levels of client satisfaction.
- Document all client interactions, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions in the company's ticketing system to maintain accurate records and facilitate knowledge sharing.
- Escalate complex technical issues to higher-tier support teams, ensuring that all necessary information is provided for efficient resolution.
- Participate in continuous training and development programs to stay updated on the latest technologies and improve technical skills, contributing to team growth and client success.
Requirements
- Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to provide clear and concise technical support to non-technical users.
- Basic understanding of networking principles and IT infrastructure, including experience with troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a demonstrated ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Proficiency in using and supporting Windows and macOS operating systems, as well as familiarity with remote desktop tools.
