Our client, a multinational company based in Fribourg, is searching for a Procurement Specialist to join the team in Fribourg.
As a Procurement Specialist, you will be responsible for:
Managing and developing the supplier portfolio
o Regular contact with all current suppliers.
o Seeking new suppliers to challenge price, quality, and service.
o Developing new business relationships and optimizing existing partnerships.
o Proposing technical products at the best price and within the specified timeframe.
o Negotiating purchasing conditions and logistical aspects (transportation, delivery times).
o Monitoring deliveries, managing reminders, and organizing export logistics.
o Managing purchasing administration, including document remittances and associated invoicing.
Collaborating and working independently within the team
o Independently managing the client portfolio (plantations).
o Collaborate with the team to share progress, pool orders, organize group shipments, and provide backup in case of absence.
o Operate within a flat hierarchy.
Supplier and customer visits
o Visits to suppliers and customers, primarily in Asia and Africa.
Your profile:
Education: MBA, certification in purchasing, supply chain, CFC, or equivalent training
Experience: 5-6 years of experience, ideally in import-export and technical purchasing
Skills and knowledge:
Experience in purchasing technical equipment.
Good understanding of international logistics issues.
Experience working in Africa or Asia, an asset.
Fluent French and English (C1 level required min.).
