About RULEMATCH
As a MiCA-licensed trading platform, RULEMATCH Europe is purpose-built for banks, investment firms and MiCA-regulated institutions.
Through RULEMATCH Europe, financial institutions operating under MiCA, as well as their institutional clients, are able to access firm and consistent liquidity in a multi-dealer market setup. In addition, they benefit from the security and capital efficiency of flexible post-trade clearing and settlement without pre-funding.
As a pure market operator, the exchange offers non-discretionary trading and never acts as a counterparty or market maker. Trading takes place through a multi-dealer RFQ model. Participants submit a single request and receive multiple firm, executable quotes from market makers. There is no last look, and participants select the quote against which they wish to trade.
The Nasdaq trading technology that powers the exchange allows participants to trade crypto-assets with the same speed, security and market integrity as they do in traditional financial markets.
The role
We are looking for a sales professional who enjoys building institutional relationships from the ground up. You will identify the right prospects, find thoughtful ways to engage relevant decision-makers, and develop those relationships from first contact to successful onboarding on our trading venue.
This is a hands-on outbound sales role. Most relationships will start cold or lukewarm, and you will not inherit a full book of business. Success comes from preparation, curiosity, clear communication and consistent follow-through.
You will report directly to the Chief Business Development Officer and work closely with another Sales & Business Development colleague, as well as our Operations, Legal and Compliance teams. You will have direct access to experienced colleagues as you build your knowledge of our market and offering. We are open to hiring at Associate or Manager level, depending on your experience and ability to operate independently.
The role is anchored in Vaduz, and regular in-person presence there is essential. You will also work from our Zurich office on a regular basis. The balance between the two locations will also depend on the agreed employment setup.
Tasks
- Identify and prioritize institutional prospects across Europe, including banks, investment firms, brokers, hedge funds, ETF and ETP providers and asset managers.
- Create new conversations through targeted outreach by email, LinkedIn and phone, as well as through selected events, introductions and other routes you develop.
- Understand each prospect's needs, business model and regulatory context, then build a relevant case for working with RULEMATCH.
- Take ownership of relationships from first contact through commercial discussions and onboarding. The level of independence will depend on your seniority and subject-matter expertise. You will work closely with Operations, Legal and Compliance throughout.
- Decide where to focus your time. Distinguish genuine opportunities from polite interest and keep the right conversations moving.
- Help shape our European go-to-market approach by testing segment hypotheses, messages and entry routes.
- Represent RULEMATCH at selected industry events and conferences.
- Keep pipeline, next steps and activity current in our CRM.
Requirements
- Evidence that you can initiate and progress B2B relationships, rather than relying only on an existing network or inbound leads.
- The judgment and communication skills to engage confidently and professionally with senior counterparts at regulated institutions.
- Resilience and adaptability. You learn from a no, adjust your approach and know when to keep going or redirect your effort.
- A collaborative approach. You take ownership, follow through and close gaps while drawing on the expertise of others.
- Curiosity and the ability to learn complex topics quickly, particularly market structure, trading, settlement and financial regulation.
- Clear, precise written and spoken English.
- The right to work in the European Economic Area and, depending on the agreed employment setup, Switzerland.
- Willingness to travel as required.
We do not expect you to know every aspect of digital-asset market structure, settlement and regulation from day one.
Benefits
- A role with direct commercial impact at an early stage of our European expansion.
- Real ownership in a small team, with direct access to senior leadership and fast decision-making.
- The opportunity to shape how we approach markets.
- A competitive fixed salary plus Stock Appreciation Rights, allowing you to participate in the increase in the company's value.
- An attractive pension plan.
- An international working environment built around high standards, teamwork, transparency and respect.
- Depending on your place of residence and preferences, employment can be entirely with RULEMATCH Europe AG in Liechtenstein or split between our Liechtenstein and Swiss entities.
If you recognize yourself in most, but not every, point above, we still want to hear from you.
