Retention Harbor is a Klaviyo Platinum Partner email and SMS marketing agency working exclusively with DTC ecommerce brands. We're looking for a talented email copywriter to write full email sequences across a portfolio of growing ecommerce clients. This is a writing-heavy role — you'll own the words across flows, campaigns, and brand voice development for multiple brands simultaneously.
Tasks
- Write full email sequences including Welcome Series, Abandoned Cart, Post-Purchase, Win-Back, and promotional campaigns
- Develop and maintain brand voice guides for each client account
- Conduct brand and audience research before writing to ensure copy is on-brand and insight-driven
- Collaborate with the account manager and implementor to brief and deliver copy on schedule
- Write subject lines, preview text, body copy, and CTAs across all email types
- Iterate on copy based on performance data and A/B test results
- Manage copy across 6-10 client accounts simultaneously with consistent quality and voice
Requirements
- 2+ years writing email copy for DTC or ecommerce brands
- Proven ability to adapt tone and voice across multiple brands simultaneously
- Experience writing full email sequences from strategy through execution
- Comfortable conducting brand research and developing voice guidelines independently
- Strong written English — this is a writing role, not a support role
- Ability to work async and hit deadlines across multiple accounts
- Experience using AI tools as part of your copywriting workflow while maintaining brand voice integrity
- Klaviyo familiarity is a plus but not required
Benefits
- Fully remote, async-first environment
- Stable long-term role with a focused high-performance team
- Direct exposure to a wide range of DTC ecommerce brands
- Clear briefs, clear feedback, and room to grow as the agency scales
If you're a strong email copywriter who can own brand voice across multiple DTC clients and thrive in a fast-paced agency environment, we'd love to hear from you. After applying you'll complete a short assessment including a live writing prompt and strategic questions — this takes roughly 30–40 minutes. Top performers move to a 15-minute screening call followed by a paid trial project.
