You are designing and developing modelling concepts to derive hazard-impact-response relationships by use of data-driven approaches
You are responsible to develop data-driven frameworks (vulnerability models) to describe the damage of energy assets according to chronic and acute environmental stressors (such as natural hazards)
You are responsible to gather information on adaptation options of energy assets to underpin resilience against (changing) chronic and acute environmental stressors
You are eager to collaborate with climate impact modellers and risk experts to push the tailoring of repath’s climate impact assessment framework to system characteristics (e.g. for the energy sector)
You are an essential part of R&D and contributing to the development of data-driven approaches for automated climate impact assessment applications to foster climate resilience
You bring in an essential additional skillset and are experienced to take advantage of rational decision making
You are eager to develop scalable frameworks and transfer your knowledge to other sectors beyond energy
Requirements
You have proven experience in vulnerability modelling and the conceptualisation of data-driven statistical models to describe damage
Its a plus if you bring a holistic overview of energy systems
You are passionate about data-driven approaches and are familiar with data array handling in Python (NumPy, pandas)
You have the capability and confidence to work independent and take advantage of rational decision making
You feel comfortable in agile software development environments
You have a Master’s degree (or equivalent) in financial mathematics, statistics, or environmental engineering
You possess 5+ years of experience in related roles preferably in remote Start-Up environments.
You possess the experience and enjoy to work independently in a remote setting
You have excellent problem-solving and communication skills and are able to take on responsibilities
You are a multitasker & problem solver with a strong analytic mind and a hands-on builder mentality
You are self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership, structured, a fast learner
You are a mature, reflective individual that is thriving for professional and personal growth

You have gathered practical experience about energy systems interfering with impactful weather
