An established rural mixed-animal practice in eastern Ohio is hiring a full-time Veterinarian.

This practice has served the Ohio, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia tri-state region for more than ten years. It has built a strong reputation for compassionate, high-quality care across small animal, equine, and food animal patients.

This is true mixed-animal work. On the small animal side, that means wellness, dentistry, surgery, and diagnostics. Equine work includes lameness, reproduction, dentistry, ultrasound, and digital radiology. Large animal and food animal work covers herd checks, vaccinations, reproductive services, dairy, and small ruminants. Doctors split time between in-clinic appointments and farm calls across the region.

You'll be joining multiple DVMs with a wide range of interests, including equine lameness and reproduction, acupuncture and chiropractic, and dairy and small ruminants. They're supported by Registered Veterinary Technicians, veterinary assistants, and an experienced support staff.

The team is collaborative, and mentorship is built in. New graduates get a structured program and real support while they build skills across species. Experienced DVMs get variety, room to develop special interests, and the chance to pursue certifications.

Key Highlights:

  • Established mixed-animal practice serving a tri-state region for over a decade
  • Small animal, equine, and food animal caseload, in clinic and on the farm
  • Digital radiology and ultrasound
  • Multi-doctor team with equine, integrative, and dairy interests
  • Formal mentorship program for new graduates
  • Monday to Friday schedule, closed weekends
  • Room to develop special interests and earn certifications

About You:

  • DVM or equivalent degree that allows you to practice veterinary medicine in the US
  • Hold or be eligible for an Ohio veterinary license (PA and WV licenses are a plus)
  • Experienced in mixed-animal practice, or genuinely interested in learning across species
  • Strong communicator who cares about clients and patients
  • Team-oriented
  • New graduates are welcome, with full mentorship provided

Benefits:

  • Base salary of $120,000 to $160,000 based on experience
  • ProSal production model
  • Mentorship program for new graduates
  • Monday to Friday schedule with weekends off
  • Support for special interests and certifications
