Ruby on Rails Engineer (m/f/d)

Projo is a bootstrapped startup based in the heart of Berlin that provides an easy-to-use project management system for architecture and engineering offices. We help companies manage things like cost management, HR tasks, offers and invoices, financial planning, and time booking efficiently and effectively. We are always focusing on our existing customers first, and since we’re profitable and without investment pressure, we are able to concentrate on the things we and our customers find most important.

We are currently 5 developers and want to slowly build up a bigger team.

Our development process is very agile:

• Our customers publish their feature ideas on a public board
• Our product manager clarifies the issues and defines the priority
• We develop quickly and receive immediate feedback. Beware! Pleasing customers can be addictive 😉

Of course, not all development is features. We take the time to make sure we are always reducing tech debt more than we add to it, enhance documentation, and attempt to simplify our system.

We try to keep our tech stack up to date as best we can.

Currently, our app runs on:

• Ruby on Rails 8
• Stimulus & Turbo
• Bootstrap 5
• PostgreSQL
• Sidekiq & Redis
• Hosted on Heroku

• You have 3+ years experience in backend development
• Experience with production Ruby on Rails
• Speaking German is a prerequisite
• Interest in learning a new domain: projo contains lots of business logic, which can be fun to learn
