Frontend Web Developer, Full-Time

The vision of NEWM is to create a music ecosystem that directly connects artists with their supporters; removing the middlemen and replacing them with code that’s not incentivized to make a profit. To achieve this goal, we are developing a multi-level product suite powered by a platform of several decentralized services for artists to publish, distribute, directly promote, fund and launch their music. We're still an early startup with a committed and motivated international team member covering all marketing, finance, product development, and design functions.

NEWM is seeking a highly motivated, Frontend Web Developer to join the engineering team to:

• Build interactive and dynamic web applications.
• Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of these applications.
• Help maintain code quality, organization, and process automatization.
• Collaborate with the team to redefine, provide design feedback for, develop, and deliver new features and products.
• Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs.

• At least four years of experience developing single page applications (SPAs)
• Javascript/Typescript expertise
• Experience using traditional React and Next.js frameworks for component-based user interface development, Redux for state management, and RTK Query for data fetching
• Familiarity with the product development life cycle, agile delivery methodologies, and management tooling such as GitHub, Jira, and Figma
• Problem-solving and collaboration-oriented thinking
• Strong, concise written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently in a remote-team setting and prioritize and execute a task list with limited oversight
• Fluency in English

• Base salary range of $30,000 - $48,000 (USD) per year
