## **About the Job**

We’re looking for an experienced Lead Machine Learning Engineer (m/f/d) to join an innovative startup that’s harnessing cutting-edge AI technology to transform regulatory workflows in order to foster speed and innovation in the Life Sciences industry. 

In your day-to-day work, you’ll leverage your knowledge in Pharmaceuticals, Medical Devices, or Regulatory Compliance. You’ll own a large part of our ML services and complete a team of 3 highly-skilled ML Engineers. You'll make key technical decisions to optimise the speed of iteration, data quality, and model performance.

## **In this role, you’ll:**

* Develop the core data pipelines & ML services
* Own ML-based features end-to-end, from the first prototype to the final delivery
* Balance high-quality & performant code while shipping quickly
* Contribute to product strategy and roadmap planning
* Drive technical decisions across our ML stack

## Bonus points for experience with:

* Document-based data pipelines
* Natural Language Processing
* Web scraping
* Startups, especially in founding roles
* The life sciences or regulatory compliance sectors

## **Your Profile**

* Experienced in ML engineering, with strong data science & python skills
* Proven track record of shipping ML-based products in a fast-paced environment, ideally from the earliest stages
* Ability to ship quickly, and break down complex problems into small & modular solutions
* Exceptional problem-solving abilities & communication skills
* Passion for our portfolio company’s mission and excitement about revolutionizing an old-school industry with AI

Please note that we are looking for support in the **Berlin** office of our portfolio company. Eligibility to work within the EU is required as well.
