Welding Inspector

For a major industrial project located in Corsica, we are recruiting, on behalf of a leading client in the Oil & Energy sector, a Welding Inspector.

• Oversee and assess the quality of welds on equipment and structures in accordance with project standards and applicable regulations.​
• Ensure that materials, welding processes, and welder qualifications meet specified requirements.​
• Conduct non-destructive testing (NDT) to verify weld integrity and ensure compliance with quality standards.​
• Identify defects or non-conformities, propose appropriate corrective actions, and monitor their effective implementation.​
• Collaborate closely with construction, engineering, and quality control teams to ensure smooth communication and prompt issue resolution.​
• Document inspection results, prepare detailed reports, and maintain accurate records to ensure traceability.​
• Participate in internal and external quality audits to ensure compliance with standards and continuous process improvement.

• Degree in engineering, metallurgy, or specialized welding training.​
• Significant experience in welding inspection on industrial projects, preferably in the Oil & Energy sector.​
• In-depth knowledge of welding codes and standards (ASME, API, ISO, AWS, EN).​
• Proven competence in using non-destructive testing (NDT) methods and associated inspection equipment.​
• Ability to accurately interpret technical drawings and detailed specifications.​
• Excellent communication skills, strong analytical sense, and proven ability to work in a team.​
• Fluency in French and English, both written and spoken.
