A Community Manager at Playbook plays a key role in building out our engagement strategy with our members across our platform. You will provide community support by addressing queries, welcoming new members, and managing ongoing dialog through our platforms. You will also cultivate relationships with members and foster alliances between active members of the community to create an engaged community. This would be facilitated by managing job boards, mentorship opportunities, events, daily content, and much more!

Tasks

  • Community Management
  • Manage and grow the Playbook community across all channels, including our established web-based and app-based community platform, social media channels, and other relevant platforms
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive content strategy that aligns with Playbook's brand and values, and resonates with our target audience
  • Develop and manage on-brand community events and activations throughout the year, with a focus on increasing attendance and creating a library of impactful content
  • Collaborate with the Social Media and Content Team to cross-promote and create impactful content that drives engagement and user-generated content
  • Generate testimonials and feedback loops from members to identify opportunities for improvement and celebrate the success stories of our community
  • Continuously monitor the community for feedback and issues, and troubleshoot and problem-solve daily to create a smooth onboarding experience and user experience
  • Onboard new users and ensure their continued success as members of the Playbook community, with a focus on driving engagement and retention
  • Manage members' profiles, ensuring they are activated and engaging with the community
  • Design and create engaging posts that align with Playbook's brand and values, and resonate with our target audience
  • Manage mentors and other projects, ensuring they align with Playbook's community goals and objectives
  • Conduct meetings, communicate through emails and messages, or any other channel whenever needed.
  • Represent Playbook at various events, including industry conferences, networking events, and other community gatherings.
  • Develop and deliver presentations to internal and external audiences.

Content Creation:

  • Create high-quality, engaging content for any event attended, including pictures, videos, and other media formats that showcase the Playbook community and its impact
  • Work closely with the CMO and Founding Team to create a valuable community experience that aligns.
  • Manage the Community on our established Community platform), including overseeing its functionality with our Partners.
  • Develop a content strategy for the daily content population.
  • Manage on-brand Community events and activations throughout the year and work towards increased attendance and a library.
  • Celebrate and surface the important feedback and incredible stories that come from our community.

Event planning:

  • Brainstorming and implementing event plans and concepts.
  • Handling budgeting and invoicing.
  • Liaising and negotiating with vendors.
  • Negotiating sponsorship deals.
  • Handling logistics.
  • Updating senior management.
  • Managing branding and communication.
  • Developing event feedback surveys.
  • Developing partnerships and collaborations with other organizations and individuals.

Requirements

  • Strong work ethic, hustle, communication, writing ability, and community building sensibility.
  • Comfort with semi-technical tasks like using an admin panel or willingness to learn how to do them.
  • Deep curiosity, relentless resourcefulness, and a growth mindset.
  • Perfect comfort with frequent context switching.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize tasks in a rapidly shifting landscape.
  • Critical thinker with a problem-solving and analytical mind.
