🥜 In a nutshell

As a Social Media Manager, you’ll lead and enhance our brand’s social media presence in the German market. By developing a strategic content plan, you’ll create and produce engaging content (photo/video) that connects with our community of heroes—Shoppers who assemble orders at our warehouse and Runners who deliver to our customers. In close collaboration with our Employer Branding team in Amsterdam, you’ll strengthen our brand awareness on TikTok and shape a compelling employer brand for our operational workforce. Your efforts will play a key role in driving recruitment to maintain a workforce of 10,000+ employees, a vital element of Picnic’s growth in Germany.

🎯 What you’ll do

  • Lead our (organic) TikTok efforts as Picnic Germany’s social media expert, creating engaging employer brand content.
  • Manage Picnic Germany’s social media presence, executing our strategy hands-on by visiting operational locations, connecting with Runners and Shoppers, and capturing authentic content.
  • Brief and oversee third-party collaborations, such as influencers, to boost Picnic’s employer brand visibility.
  • Handle community management across platforms, engaging with followers and responding to comments, messages, and user-generated content.
  • Cultivate a network of employee content creators to amplify our brand message from within.
  • Own the growth of our TikTok account to attract talent and increase job applications for Picnic.
  • Track social media performance, leveraging data insights to refine content strategy and reporting on KPIs to optimise engagement and reach.

⭐ About you

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Media, Marketing, Communications, or equivalent
  • 2-4 years of experience in Social Media Marketing
  • TikTok is your go-to app, even before Instagram, and you’re deeply tuned into social media trends and culture.
  • You create visually compelling content that resonates with Gen Z and tells an authentic story
  • You have great communication skills for both creating content (messaging) and working with teams or partners.
  • You love a fast-paced environment, always ready to try new things and jump on trends to keep our social media strategy fresh and exciting.
  • You are efficient in managing multiple projects and tasks ensuring consistent execution of our social media strategy
  • You are ready to travel across Germany to capture Picnic’s unique work culture.
  • You’re outgoing and can easily energise those in front of the camera to capture genuine content.
  • You speak English and German fluently
