System Security Specialist - Switzerland, Zurich/Basel

About the Role

I am looking for a skilled System Security Specialist to join a dynamic IT team managing complex infrastructure environments.

In this role, you will ensure secure, reliable, and efficient operations of servers, databases, and virtualization platforms, with a strong focus on information security.

• Serve as the main link between Cyber Security and IT infrastructure teams
• Identify, assess, and mitigate cyber security risks
• Develop and maintain security guidelines, policies, and technical concepts
• Act as a technical point of contact for information security within platform operations
• Support the implementation and continuous improvement of protective measures across IT systems

• 5+ years of experience in enterprise IT infrastructure roles with a focus on cyber security
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft and Linux environments, databases, and virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Kubernetes, Citrix)
• Strong knowledge of cyber security frameworks and standards and risk management
• Familiarity with offensive security practices e.g. security audits, pen testing
• Fluent in German and English
