Tasks
- Design, track, and communicate standard release guidelines. Monitor risk and progress to ensure smooth releases.
- Oversee various aspects of a project before deployment, including development phase completion, testing phase, UAT, and branching strategy.
- Ensure teams know the project guidelines and check that these standards are met. Conduct regular reviews with stakeholders to meet expectations on release plans and documentation adhering to the standard process
- Lead evaluation of scope for delivery in accordance with both functional and non-functional requirements as outlined by projects or platform enhancements. Perform scoping, fit-to-standard workshops for projects/enhancements, propose solutions for key gaps, provide effort estimates, and align with business teams
- Run the Change Advisory Board and communicate the value of each release to senior leadership
- Collaborate with the training team to create and distribute release notes.
- Monitor and report on release progress and outcomes
- Support the functional leader in other activities that align with the role's competencies and experience
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or Finance related discipline(s) in combination with a solid IT background
- Minimum of 5 years of experience within the information technology and/or responsibilities within project delivery
- Minimum of 3 years of proven, hands-on experience with Release Management and minimum of 2 years of proven, hands-on experience with Scrum method of delivery
- Experience with JIRA or similar tools.
- S/4 HANA, Salesforce.com or Service Max experience is significant advantage
- Results orientation, striving to bolster personal and team results
- Effective interpersonal, teamwork and collaboration skills
- Open and able to work in culturally diverse environment
- Experience in customer-facing roles, preferably in consultancy
- “Agile-development” mindset with customer-focus
