As Operations Manager Central Europe, you take full ownership of our e-commerce warehouse and logistics operations across the region - ensuring reliable, high-performance delivery for every customer, every time. You lead with precision and impact: managing teams, optimizing processes, and partnering closely with carriers and HQ. You’re the engine room behind our customer promise hands-on, data-driven, and obsessed with getting it right. This role requires you to be able to frequently travel to Fulda (Warehouse) and Frankfurt (Office).

Tasks

  • Operational Leadership: Take full ownership of daily warehouse and logistics operations across Central European markets, ensuring smooth and reliable execution.
  • Warehouse Management: Lead all aspects of warehouse operations, including workforce allocation, layout design, space optimization, and implementation of health & safety protocols.
  • Performance Monitoring: Oversee key metrics such as outbound service level, order accuracy, warehouse worker efficiency, and Logistical cost per order. Use insights to drive actionable improvements.
  • Team Oversight: Manage warehouse teams and their leaders, across multiple locations in the future, ensuring high productivity, motivation, and compliance with operational standards.
  • Carrier Relationship Management: Serve as the primary operational contact for carrier partners. Ensure effective forecast sharing, incident resolution, and performance tracking.
  • Process Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including Warehouse Management System (WMS) rollouts, lean process implementation, and logistics network optimization.
  • P&L Responsibility: Own and manage the full warehouse and last-mile operational P&L for the region, aligning performance with business targets and customer expectations.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with planning, customer service, product, and HQ operations teams to align regional execution with broader company goals.

Requirements

  • Operational Expertise: Proven track record in warehouse or logistics operations management, ideally across multiple sites and countries.
  • Leadership Experience: Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire, develop, and guide warehouse teams to success.
    Data-Driven Mindset: Comfortable working with KPIs, reports, and dashboards to identify performance gaps and opportunities for improvement.
  • Process Focus: Hands-on experience with warehouse process optimization, WMS implementation, and lean logistics initiatives.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills in English & German. Able to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Problem Solver: You stay calm under pressure and know how to navigate operational challenges quickly and effectively.Flexibility: Willingness to travel, especially to the Warehouse on a consistent basis.
