We are looking for an ambitious student assistant (3+ months) who want more than a “normal internship”. As a Product Management Intern at Pactos, you will work side-by-side with the founding team (ex-BCG, TUM, WHU) and take full ownership of product initiatives from day one.
Pactos is the operating system for managing external workforces — the people companies hire through staffing providers and vendors rather than as employees. That's a >€30bn market in Germany alone, run mostly on Excel and PDFs. We replace it with software.
Today our platform is used by industrial companies, staffing agencies, and corporates managing compliance across their supplier base. We're seed-stage, ~20 people, growing fast, backed by HTGF and a strong angel base.
Tasks
- 🚀 Run discovery on at least one product area end-to-end — customer interviews, problem framing, scoping with engineering, shipping the first version.
- 🧩 Own release communication: turn engineering work into clear changelogs, in-product updates, and customer-facing notes that actually get read.
- 🤝 Sit in on customer calls (with our largest enterprise accounts and staffing providers), pull patterns out of what you hear, and feed them back into the roadmap.
- 🛠 Build prototypes and dashboards on product adoption that the teams use in their weekly decisions — not decoration, decisions.
- 💡 Identify and fix UX friction in the onboarding flow; ship improvements yourself where the scope allows.
- 🦾 Build internal automations that connect our stack and remove recurring manual work for the team.
You will work directly with the founders and our Senior PM. We won't hand you a curated intern project — you'll be working on the same problems we're working on, scoped to what you can realistically own.
Requirements
- Currently in your studies or, in a gap year; ideally in CS, business informatics, management & technology, engineering, or similar
- Excellent academic performance and/or outstanding extracurricular achievements
- Have built something before — a side project, an automationm a tool, a small product, a dataset, anything where you shipped, not just planned
- Think analytically and can defend a recommendation with data
- Communicate cleanly in writing — short, structured, no fluff
- Are comfortable in environments without a playbook and prefer figuring things out to being told
- Fluent in German and English
Nice to have, not required: prior internship in a fast-moving B2B software company, basic coding skills, exposure to modern PM tools (Linear, Notion, etc.)
Benefits
- Full ownership and responsibility from day one
- Direct collaboration with the founders and a steep learning curve in a dynamic, ambitious team with top-tier colleagues
- The opportunity to shape the future of work as part of a fast-scaling SaaS startup
- Possibility of working-student or full-time conversion for strong performers
- A modern workplace in central Munich and a team culture with ambition and fun (incl. events like Oktoberfest)
