Pactos is a fast-growing B2B SaaS startup reinventing how companies manage their external workforce. Our AI-powered platform digitizes the entire end-to-end process, enabling organizations to manage external staff and staffing providers in a compliant, transparent, and highly efficient way.
We are backed by renowened investors (HTGF, StepStone CEO, Peri Owner) and already trusted by best-in-class customers. Are you a versatile developer ready to build something extraordinary? Join us as our software engineer who wants to shape a scalable product foundation, write reliable code, and grow in a high-ownership, high-speed startup environment.

Tasks

🧱 Build scalable systems – Develop and expand our backend architecture with a focus on performance, reliability, and security.

🧩 Design APIs & data models – Create well-structured, documented APIs and robust data models for our frontend and integration teams.

⚙️ Automate & integrate – Build smart integrations with external HR, finance, and compliance systems, and automate key workflows.

🧠 Think in architecture, not just tickets – Estbalish best practices and make technical decisions that balance scalability, maintainability, and product speed.

🚀 Cross-Functional Collaboration – Work hands-on with design, product, and engineering teams, as well as with the founders, to shape our roadmap, tools, and engineering culture.

Requirements

3+ years of professional experience in full-stack / backend development, ideally in SaaS or B2B environments

Excellent skills in TypeScript/Node.js and PostgreSQL

Experience with cloud infrastructure (e.g., Google Cloud)

Strong passion for clean code, testing, security, and performance

Structured and proactive working style with high ownership

Curious about product decisions – you care about user outcomes, not just code

Fluent in English

Benefits

Attractive comp + ESOP: Competitive salary plus meaningful equity

True Ownership: You build core features that shape the product.

Speed: We make decisions in hours, not weeks. No politics. No BS.

Colleagues you’ll want to work with: Pragmatic, product-obsessed, and committed to winning - we're a tight-knit, ambitious team with a builder mindset

Modern stack, flexible setup: hybrid either in Munich or Berlin, outcome-driven, and lots of fun (e.g., Oktoberfest)
