Tasks

Main Responsibilities

As we continue to grow, we are transitioning our accounting function from being primarily managed by external accountants to establishing an in-house setup. We are looking for a motivated individual to drive and manage this transition independently while building a robust internal accounting function.

You will report directly to the COO and work closely with stakeholders across the company. The ideal candidate will have a strong accounting background, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic work environment with flexibility and adaptability.

As we are building up the function, your responsibilities will be very broad:

  • Lead the transition from external to in-house accounting.
  • Build and manage the in-house accounting function.
  • Own the month-end and year-end reporting and closing processes.
  • Develop and implement scalable accounting processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Select and manage the accounting software that will best serve the company’s needs going forward.
  • Set up a consolidation process for the company's three entities.
  • Manage relationships with tax advisors and external accountants to address local GAAP-specific requirements.
  • Set up and manage the audit process, including relationships with auditors.
  • Handle day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoice creation, and treasury management.
  • Oversee treasury needs across multiple entities, including accounts payable, wire transfers, and payments.
  • Assist with the preparation of yearly budgets and quarterly forecasts.
  • Provide support on transfer pricing matters.

Requirements

  • Certified accountant with 5+ years experience in financial and/or startup environments.
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS and local GAAP.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Excel.
  • Experience with multi-entity accounting.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Fluency in English; German language skills are a plus.
