Especially for our e-health department, we are looking for a strong focused person who is willing to contribute to international research within the health area. With you, as our future colleague and together with our international network consisting of renowned private and public institutions we want to solve complex data-driven problems contributing to citizens' empowerment and well-being Your tasks will be as followed:

*   Develop and implement bioinformatics pipelines and tools for the analysis and interpretation of biological and clinical data
*   Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to standardize and harmonize data across different systems, including HL7, SNOMED, ICD-10, medical data, and electronic health records (eHR)
*   Design and optimize algorithms for data integration, visualization, and reporting
*   Participate in the development and maintenance of databases and knowledge management systems
*   Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in bioinformatics, data standardization, and healthcare regulations
*   Communicate findings and insights effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
*   Contribute to the publication of scientific papers and attend conferences and workshops to showcase research and advancements in the field

## Requirements

*   Work permit in Germany - please apply only if this is available!
*   Strong understanding of data standardization and harmonization principles
*   \> 3 years of concrete experience
*   Master’s or Ph.D. degree in Informatics, Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, or a related field
*   Proficiency in working with HL7, SNOMED, medical data, and electronic health records (eHR)
*   Solid programming skills in languages such as Python, R, or Perl. Backend-frameworks is a plus
*   Experience with data visualization tools and statistical analysis software
*   Familiarity with database systems and query languages (e.g., SQL)
*   Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
*   Strong communication and teamwork skills
*   Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously

We offer a two-step recruitment process:

*   Step 2 - If the first interview was OK for both sides, we will invite you to a technical interview. An expert will join that interview to have a technical conversation with you. Depending on the position the technical interview can also include programming tasks. For us it is important to create a realistic environment within the recruitment process.
