About the Role
Next Step Psychology & Counselling is looking for a confident Psychologist with great people skills to join our expanding team. This pivotal role is designed to support and uplift individuals facing mental health challenges that impact their everyday lives.
Tasks
- Conducting psychological assessments, therapy, and interventions for individuals, couples, and families.
- Developing and implementing treatment plans tailored to client needs.
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care.
- Providing crisis intervention and management as needed.
- Maintaining accurate and confidential client records in compliance with organizational and external governing bodies' policies.
- Participating in case discussions, supervision, and continuous professional development.
- Contributing to the development and refinement of therapeutic programs and services.
- Ensuring a safe and healthy therapeutic environment, adhering to compliance standards and procedures.
- Engaging with clients, stakeholders, and partner providers to foster strong relationships and continuity of care.
- Representing the Next Step Psychology & Counselling brand with professionalism.
Requirements
- Registration with AHPRA as a Psychologist.
- Demonstrated experience in providing psychological therapy and interventions.
- Exceptional organizational abilities with meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and adapt to changing priorities.
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving capabilities.
- Proficiency with electronic health records and other relevant technologies.
- Leadership and teamwork skills.
- Outstanding communication skills, both with team members and clients.
- Strong therapeutic and clinical skills with a demonstrated client-focused approach.
- Experience in mental health operations and service delivery.
- Knowledge of current best practices in psychological care and treatment.
- Registration with SIRA and Wentwest is highly desirable.
