Senior Automation Engineer (m/f/d)

We are seeking a Technical Expert (SME) for the process discipline within a major CAPEX program.

• You lead and manage the automation scope of the project, including oversight of the planning and execution phases.
• You lead a team of external planners to ensure effective collaboration and successful execution of technical objectives.
• You develop and implement process automation concepts, with a focus on Level 1 & Level 2 automation solutions.
• You work cross-functionally with interdisciplinary teams and external partners, including production, MSAT, R&D, IT, OT, and quality assurance, to achieve aligned objectives.
• You support the project from conceptual planning to commissioning, adhering to industry standards and guidelines.
• You ensure compliance with quality, budgeted costs, deadlines, and regulatory requirements within your defined area of responsibility

• You hold a university degree in engineering, specializing in automation, electrical engineering, or a related technical field.
• You bring hands-on experience with the Siemens automation stack, including OpCenter.
• You have proven expertise in implementing PAT, data historian, and MES solutions in chemical-pharmaceutical API production plants.
• You have several years of experience as an independent automation discipline lead within large-scale projects.
• You possess in-depth knowledge of GMP qualification requirements in the chemical-pharmaceutical industry.
• You have strong problem-solving skills, with analytical thinking and proven ability to address complex technical challenges in industrial settings.
• You have prior project management experience and a demonstrated ability to oversee timelines and deliverables.
• You show high resilience and flexibility when working in a fast-paced, technical environment.
• You have excellent language skills, fluent in German and English, with English being the primary project language.
• You demonstrate strong communication and collaboration skills to ensure team alignment and technical success.
