Mechatronic Engineering
£40,000 to £55,000 / year

NavLive is a spin-out from the University of Oxford, backed by award-winning technology and algorithms. We are developing real-time spatial AI solutions for the construction and geospatial industries.

We use real-time multi-sensor fusion and high-precision positioning technology to build 3D models of indoor and outdoor environments in real-time. Our tech can infer what has changed and provide insights to facility owners or site decision-makers. We want to recruit a hardware design engineer to help us develop our products and execute R&D projects with partners in the above-mentioned sectors.

Are you interested in joining a rapidly growing start-up to develop advanced technology which will revolutionise how companies monitor their assets, make decisions and measure the real world?

Your role as a Product Design Engineer will involve:

  • Using your expertise in computer-aided design (CAD) software to create innovative designs for handheld and robotic sensor and mapping systems
  • Ensuring cost-effective low-volume production by employing Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) principles
  • Using rapid prototyping to produce prototypes, test and improve on designs
  • To produce bills of materials specifying components and potential suppliers
  • Produce assembly drawings and detail drawings specifying materials, tolerances and assembly notes for outsourcing
  • Testing of prototypes with customers, including on-site
