## Your role

Your role as Technical Project Manager is the direct link between our engineering team and our customers. It's extremely versatile since you will be interacting with both developers, customers and the business teams on a daily basis. Therefore, it is key for you to have a business acumen as well as good background knowledge about ML and its technical implementations. In order to build and cultivate outstanding relationships with our clients, we need a person who understands the principles of project management, who is passionate about developing ML projects with potential clients as well as acquiring new leads. This role can involve marginal coding activities on certain projects.

* Understand business pain points of clients, mapping them into machine learning problems and conceptualizing impactful ML solution approaches in cooperation with our engineers.
* Manage ML projects to deliver maximum value to client, i.e. ensure smooth technical delivery both in respect to client needs as well as mindful of technical constraints.
* Proactively advancing the company's vision by ideating and implementing strategic initiatives for industry exploration or developing our offerings and continuously enhancing internal processes
* Take ownership within a strong and supportive team, meaning to drive own sub-projects, manage own client interactions and represent the Merantix brand.
* Constantly expand your expertise in the most advanced areas of ML as well as developing a deep understanding of industries and their journey towards AI implementation.

## Your profile

The ideal candidate is enthusiastic about ML development, is a strong team player, feels comfortable with shifting between tech & business and always up for a challenge. We are looking for passionate, capable, visionary, and pragmatic talents with proven track records of personal, academic, and professional achievement. Our hierarchy is flat and communication direct, which means that we operate and learn fast, as a team. You would be a great fit if you have:

* Undergraduate degree from a top-­tier university, Master or MBA in Computer Science, Data Science, Business Analytics or similar and solid understanding of Machine Learning applications. Alternatively ML skills can be self taught, but must be demonstrated accordingly
* First working experience in tech corporate, tech startup or management consulting, with a special focus on technical and data science related positions
* Excellent analytical problem-solving skills, with the ability to step back and contextualize the problem at its root both on the business and ML side and think out of the box from time to time
* Strong organizational and multitasking skills able to prioritize appropriately and effectively as well as communicate and coordinate within the team
* A strong commitment to the team and Merantix vision and a positive attitude represented by a hands-on approach and no fear of new challenges
* Fluency in English and German. Any additional European language will be highly appreciated
* Nice to have: Basic Data-Science coding skills (Python, Pandas, Scikit-learn, Pytorch, Tensorflow) and the first experience with ML libraries
