Modular Dating is seeking a highly skilled Email Marketing & Push Notification Manager to lead our email and push marketing operations, ensuring top-tier deliverability, engagement, and monetization across all of our platforms. This role will be responsible for managing complex email infrastructure, handling high-volume transactional and promotional email campaigns, and supporting the overall user engagement strategy across multiple clients and brands.

As we manage email infrastructure for our entire client base, we need someone with deep expertise in deliverability, segmentation, and campaign optimization—ensuring our emails and push notifications not only reach inboxes but also drive high engagement and revenue.

This is a strategic, technical, and execution-heavy role, working closely with Sales, Monetization, Product, and Technical teams to maximize the effectiveness of our email and push strategies in a highly competitive, performance-driven industry. This role reports directly to the Head of B2C.

Tasks

Email Deliverability & Infrastructure Management

  • Oversee and optimize email infrastructure (Mailgun), ensuring maximum deliverability, minimal spam complaints, and high engagement.
  • Constantly monitor IP reputation, blacklists, and sender scores, ensuring that all senders maintain high inbox placement rates.
  • Predict, identify, and resolve deliverability issues proactively, working with ESPs and technical teams to troubleshoot email failures and resolve ISP-related blocks.
  • Own and implement email authentication best practices (SPF, DKIM, DMARC) to enhance trust and deliverability.
  • Develop scalable email-sending architectures, ensuring that new brands, domains, and campaigns launch smoothly.

Campaign Strategy & Execution

  • Design and execute email and push notification marketing campaigns that drive engagement and monetization for our dating platforms.
  • Build and manage audience segmentation strategies, using behavioral, demographic, and engagement-based targeting to maximize conversion rates.
  • Optimize email cadence, timing, and content, ensuring the best mix between transactional, automated, and promotional emails.
  • Manage A/B testing frameworks, refining subject lines, CTAs, and creative elements to maximize open rates, CTR, and conversion.
  • Ensure that all emails and push notifications align with brand, compliance, and legal requirements (GDPR, CAN-SPAM, CASL).

Performance Monitoring & Optimization

  • Track, analyze, and report on key email marketing KPIs (open rates, CTR, bounce rates, conversions, revenue impact).
  • Implement real-time monitoring dashboards to evaluate campaign performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Establish processes to track lead volumes, engagement rates, and churn patterns, making data-driven adjustments to optimize performance.
  • Continuously monitor and improve email list health, ensuring high sender reputation and reduced spam complaints.

Collaboration & Cross-Functional Support

  • Partner with Sales, Monetization, and Product teams to align email and push marketing strategies with revenue goals.
  • Work closely with Product and Development teams to optimize transactional emails and automated triggers.
  • Act as the main point of contact between Modular Dating and external ESPs (Mailgun, Postmark, SendGrid), negotiating services and resolving technical challenges.
  • Train and support internal teams on email and push marketing best practices.

Innovation & Industry Leadership

  • Stay ahead of industry trends, constantly testing new email technologies, automation tools, and AI-powered engagement techniques.
  • Research and implement new personalization tactics, leveraging machine learning and dynamic content.
  • Maintain documentation on email workflows, best practices, and deliverability strategies, ensuring continuous learning and optimization.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • 5+ years of experience in Email Marketing & Deliverability, preferably in high-volume, high-transaction industries like dating, adult, finance, or iGaming.
  • Deep expertise in ESP management (Mailgun preferred), domain reputation management, and authentication (SPF, DKIM, DMARC).
  • Proven success optimizing large-scale email campaigns, with experience in personalization, segmentation, and automation.
  • Experience troubleshooting deliverability issues and working with anti-spam providers, ISPs, and email compliance frameworks.
  • Strong HTML, CSS, and basic SQL knowledge (for reviewing, optimizing, and debugging templates).
  • Highly analytical mindset – must be able to interpret complex datasets and implement data-driven optimizations.
  • Familiarity with push notification platforms (OneSignal, Firebase) and their role in user engagement.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment, balancing execution with strategic vision.
