Senior Fullstack Engineer (all genders)

Join us as a Senior Fullstack Engineer to bring the best-in-class Pizza ordering experience to all our customers! We are looking for an experienced Senior Fullstack Engineer with strong excitement for shop systems and logistical infrastructure. As one of the first hires for our Product, Design & Engineering organisation, you will be responsible for driving forward the engineering for large parts of the Milano Vice tech infrastructure, particularly our first-party ordering platform. You will be working closely with our customers and our Product and Design team to ensure we are creating outstanding customer experience through the technology solutions we are building.

• Design, develop, and maintain backend architecture as well as responsive frontend interfaces for web applications.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
• Understand and optimise the performance and scalability of the backend systems.
• Participate in code reviews and ensure that all solutions are aligned with industry best practices.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest technology trends and updates in the field.
• Troubleshoot and debug any issues that arise.
• Participate in the product and design processes for the discovery of new features and functionalities.
• Take part in the team building process by joining technical interviews and be a mentor to more junior colleagues.

• 5+ years of work experience in a Fullstack Engineering role.
• Proven experience as a Fullstack Engineer within an cross-functional team or similar engineering role.
• Experience with building data-heavy applications.
• Solid experience in building scalable infrastructure.

Competencies

• Strong experience with Express.js, Node.js, TypeScript, Next.js & React
• Good experience with PostgreSQL databases and complex data structures.
• Worked on mobile web applications before
• Experience in working with cloud-based systems (i.e. AWS) is highly desirable.
• Owning your product through the complete lifecycle from initial planning to development, release and maintenance.
• You are a self-starter and are satisfied by owning large chunks of the product roadmap.
• Caring about quality, performance, user experience and security.
• You enjoy working in cross-functional teams but are also able to work independently.
• You are fluent in English.
