to join its Cyprus-based regulated entity

About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Head of Compliance & AMLCO to join a regulated financial services organisation in Cyprus.
This is a senior position offering direct exposure to senior management, regulatory authorities and international stakeholders. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the compliance and AML/CFT framework, ensuring adherence to applicable regulatory requirements and supporting the organisation's governance and risk management functions.
Tasks
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as Head of Compliance and AMLCO
- Maintain and enhance the compliance and AML/CFT framework
- Monitor compliance with applicable regulatory requirements
- Liaise with regulators and external stakeholders
- Prepare regulatory and board reports
- Oversee KYC, CDD, EDD and ongoing monitoring processes
- Conduct compliance reviews and monitoring activities
- Maintain and update compliance policies and procedures
- Investigate and assess AML-related matters where required
- Provide regulatory guidance and compliance support to senior management
Requirements
Your Profile
Applications will only be considered from candidates who meet the following requirements:
- Holder of both the CySEC Advanced Certificate and CySEC AML Certificate
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Compliance and/or AML within a regulated financial services environment
- Experience within a CySEC-regulated entity (AIFM, CIF, UCITS Management Company, Asset Manager, Fund Administrator or similar)
- Strong knowledge of CySEC regulations, AML/CFT requirements and regulatory reporting obligations
- Experience dealing directly with regulators, regulatory inspections and compliance monitoring programmes
- Experience drafting and maintaining compliance and AML policies and procedures
- Strong analytical, organisational and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and interact confidently with senior management and regulators
- Fluent English is essential Greek and/or Russian will be considered an advantage
