For our client, a fundamental research-driven hedge fund based in Cyprus, we are looking for a

Senior Machine Learning Software Engineer (m/f) 100%

to work in Cyprus or remotely, with the possibility of relocation to Cyprus.

About the Role:

This Machine Learning Software Engineer role focuses on building and deploying AI trading models. You'll collaborate with researchers and traders to integrate ML into trading systems, driving performance and directly impacting fund profits.

Your responsibilities:

• Define technical direction and goals for the ML Engineering team, driving innovation.
• Develop and deploy machine learning models for market data processing, trading, and portfolio optimization.
• Collaborate with quantitative researchers and traders to translate financial hypotheses into ML-driven strategies.
• Lead and mentor junior ML engineers, fostering technical excellence.

• 8+ years of experience in software engineering (or 4+ years with a PhD).
• 6+ years of experience in machine learning, AI, pattern recognition, deep learning, NLP, or related fields.
• Strong Python proficiency and hands-on experience with ML frameworks (PyTorch, Scikit-learn, etc.).
• Expertise in data structures, algorithms, and software design principles.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related fields.
• Fluency in English and Russian.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master’s or PhD in Machine Learning, Computer Science, or related disciplines.
• 5+ years of technical leadership experience, setting project direction.
• Experience in quantitative finance, algorithmic trading, or financial modeling.
