As a Finance & Procurement Associate, you will be responsible for managing core financial operations, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and compliance across all transactions. The role involves reviewing and processing invoices, maintaining up-to-date financial records, preparing payments, and performing monthly reconciliations in Xero. You will also assist in financial reporting, analyze expenses, and help improve budget tracking and cost control processes.

While the primary focus is on finance, the role also includes supporting procurement activities such as coordinating with vendors, verifying invoices, and ensuring timely and cost-effective purchases. This position requires strong analytical and numerical skills, attention to detail, and proficiency with accounting software like Xero and QuickBooks. You will work closely with internal teams to streamline financial workflows, support decision-making, and uphold the company’s financial integrity in a dynamic work environment.

Tasks

  • Reviewing invoices and receipts for accuracy and completeness.
  • Preparing and submitting invoices to customers and following up on payments.
  • Reviewing and processing invoices from vendors and suppliers, verifying the accuracy of data, resolving any discrepancies, and ensuring timely payments are made.
  • Conducting market research, identifying potential suppliers, negotiating contracts, and managing supplier relationships to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery of goods and services.
  • Maintaining accurate financial records, including transactions, payments, and expenses, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
  • Entering data into XERO and performing monthly account reconciliations.
  • Reconcile bank accounts and financial statements, handle foreign currency transactions, and assist with financial reporting.
  • Coordinating with other departments to ensure procurement needs are met.

Requirements

  • Proficiency with accounting software and tools like Xero and Quickbooks.
  • Knowledge of financial and procurement regulations.
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills.
  • Attention to detail, so as to ensure accuracy of data entry.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with ability to partner and influence across functions and levels.
  • Strong quantitative and analytical problem-solving skills.
  • “Do-er” in attitude and action; a self-starter and a fast learner, who isn’t scared to ask questions and doesn’t just accept the status quo.
  • Team player, comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
