Blapp Surveys is a gamified insights platform that rewards users with coins for answering fun and brand-sponsored questions. As we scale rapidly across the MENA region and beyond, we are building one of the richest real-time consumer insight databases in the region. We’re looking for a Junior Data Analyst & Front-end UI Developer to help us unlock the power of user-generated survey data as well as the UI production side. This is a hybrid role for someone who is analytical, technical, and comfortable working across data, dashboards, front-end interfaces, and interactive ad experiences. The ideal candidate can analyze user behavior, generate insights, support segmentation models, and also build clean, responsive HTML5/JavaScript/CSS rich media units or UI prototypes when neededs.
Tasks
User Segmentation & Behavioral Modeling
- Analyze user responses to derive psychographic, demographic, and behavioral insights (e.g., age, gender, brand affinity, food preferences, travel habits, automotive choices, etc.)
- Develop and maintain clustering and segmentation models (e.g., K-means, decision trees)
- Track and label user personas based on evolving survey patterns
Survey Intelligence & Targeting Optimization
- Analyze survey performance: response rates, drop-offs, completion time, accuracy signals
- Recommend user targeting strategies to match the right surveys to the right user segments
- Identify survey fatigue, optimize frequency and timing algorithms
- Package insights into dashboards and presentations to support the sales team when pitching to brands
- Highlight untapped high-value cohorts for future monetization opportunities
- Create custom reports for key brand accounts based on survey responses
Data Infrastructure & Tooling
- Work with our dev/data engineering team to clean, enrich, and structure data pipelines
- Maintain and update tagging/taxonomy for topics, brands, categories with content strategy teams.
- Recommend dashboards (Tableau, Power BI, Metabase, etc.) to visualize insights
Data Infrastructure & Tooling
- Build interactive rich media ad units using HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.
- Support the development of playable ads, gamified ad experiences, interactive surveys, quizzes, swipe units, drag-and-drop formats, and other rich media executions.
- Translate creative concepts, storyboards, and UI designs into functional front-end experiences.
- Ensure rich media units are responsive, lightweight, optimized, and compatible across mobile and desktop environments.
- Work with creative, development, and campaign teams to implement animations, interactions, CTA logic, tracking events, and user flows.
- Support QA testing for rich media units across browsers, devices, and ad environments.
- Apply basic knowledge of UI/UX principles to improve usability, layout, clarity, and interaction flow.
- Support front-end UI prototypes or internal tools using frameworks such as React or Next.js when needed.
Requirements
- 1–2 years experience in a data analyst. junior data scientist, front-end developer role.
- Strong SQL skills for querying, cleaning, and analyzing data structure
- Python for data cleaning and exploration
- Familiarity with basic machine learning and clustering techniques
- Comfort with data visualization (Tableau, Power BI, Matplotlib, Seaborn)
- Good knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, JS and ability to build responsive and interactive web based products.
- Basic understanding of front-end frameworks such as Reach or Next.js
- Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and user-first mindset
- Excellent written and verbal communication in English
- Experience with cloud-based environments (e.g., AWS, GCP) is a bonus, as well as Hadoop
