Marvelous is a pre-seed and seed fund backing Europe's most ambitious industrial deep tech founders. Our ambition extends further - we are building a broader investment platform encompassing a Fund of Funds, growth vehicles and beyond.
We currently invest across three interconnected verticals — Food, Agriculture & Land Use; Heavy Industry; and the Built Environment, specifically in Advanced Materials & Molecules, Waste Valorisation, and Robotics with a focused thesis that the physical economy is undergoing a once-in-a-generation transformation, and the best deep tech companies are being built right now. Our mission is a future-fit economy thriving within planetary boundaries to the benefit of all.
What sets us apart is The Catalyst – our industry collaboration engine. We have a growing network of relevant industrial companies who act as strategic partners — providing technical diligence, manufacturing access, real-world pilots, and offtake relationships to our portfolio from day one. For a deep tech founder, this is not just capital. It is credibility, speed, and a path to commercial scale that most funds cannot offer.
We are a small, high-performance, low-ego team. Every member of the Marvelous team carries real responsibility and earns real ownership in the fund's outcomes. To support the overall development of Marvelous and work alongside our founding team on core fund-building activities, we’re hiring a Founders Associate to contribute across fundraising, research, and internal strategy.

Tasks

As a Founders Associate, you’ll work directly with Marvelous' founding team contributing across fundraising, investment analysis, partnership development, and ecosystem engagement. This is a high-exposure, high-learning role that offers a unique 360° view into building a venture fund.
Key Responsibilities

Fundraising Support: Drive key elements of our fundraising efforts, manage investor materials and communications, conduct research on LPs, and support relationship-building with current and prospective investors.

Research & Strategy: Conduct independent analysis on sectors, startups, and emerging trends. Support internal projects, business development, and firm positioning with strategic insights.

Innovation Scouting: Help identify and assess early-stage companies working at the edge of science and impact. Contribute to our investment thesis and sector mapping.

Execution & Operations: Prepare presentations, pitch materials, and internal reports. Support planning and implementation of key projects across the fund, incl. administrative tasks.

Ecosystem Engagement: Represent Marvelous at events, assist in founder and stakeholder communications, and help grow our presence in the DeepTech and Venture Capital ecosystems.

Requirements

What you bring
We’re looking for someone eager to learn fast, build boldly, and contribute meaningfully in an early-stage VC environment.

Education: Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in STEM, business, economics, or related fields. A focus on entrepreneurship or sustainability is a plus.

Experience: Previous experience as an intern, working student, or junior team member ideally in startups, VC, consulting, or tech ecosystems. Exposure to the venture landscape is a big plus.

Skills & Mindset

Strong analytical and conceptual skills

Self-starter with a “builder” mentality

Excellent verbal and written communication (in English; German is a plus)

Proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel; CRM tools are a bonus

Curiosity, flexibility, and a proactive spirit

Available for 6-9 months

Benefits

At Marvelous, we blend deep scientific insight with entrepreneurial execution to scale the next generation of industrial DeepTech champions. As a first-time fund, we offer a rare opportunity to shape a pioneering platform from the ground up — where every project and partnership you support drives both venture-scale returns and planetary-scale impact.
What sets Marvelous apart:

Learn from a Mission-Driven, Interdisciplinary Team: Work closely with investors, scientists, climate operators, and entrepreneurs. You'll gain hands-on exposure to DeepTech investing and startup ecosystems — backed by a team with a strong track record in fund building and venture scaling.

Invest with Purpose: Every deal tackles the most pressing global challenges. Your work contributes to scaling technologies that can transform how we produce, build, and consume.

Catalyst Model: Science to Scale: Our Catalyst bridges the gap between academia and industry. We support tech transfer, industrial pilots, and offtake agreements to turn science into scale.

Autonomy Meets Ambition: From day one, you’ll own strategic projects while being backed by a high-performing and impact-aligned team.

Diverse by Design, Driven by Impact: We value varied experiences and backgrounds. Our culture is curious, collaborative, and committed to building a better future.

Be part of a bold, mission-driven journey to scale sustainable industries through science and capital. You’ll grow as fast as you help us grow and play a central role in shaping the future of Venture Capital.
Be a part of something extraordinary and join Marvelous as Working Student/ Intern Founders Associate! We can’t wait to meet you.
