AMS Delivery Specialist – SAP

Role Summary

The AMS Delivery Specialist is responsible for providing end-to-end Application Management Services (AMS) for SAP systems. This role ensures stable operations, timely incident resolution, continuous improvement, and high customer satisfaction while working closely with business users, technical teams, and stakeholders.

Tasks

Key Responsibilities

SAP Application Support (AMS)

  • Provide L2/L3 support for SAP applications in an AMS model.
  • Handle incidents, service requests, problems, and changes as per ITIL processes.
  • Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement permanent fixes.
  • Ensure SLA adherence for response and resolution times.

SAP Functional & Technical Expertise

  • Support SAP modules such as:
  • SAP S/4HANA
  • SAP ECC
  • (Any of: FI, CO, MM, SD, PP, QM, HCM, BW, APO, EWM, TM – based on role focus)

  • Analyze functional issues and coordinate with technical teams for fixes.
  • Support integration points with non-SAP systems.
  • Assist with transport management, testing, and documentation.

Continuous Improvement & Optimization

  • Identify recurring issues and recommend process improvements.
  • Support minor enhancements and configuration changes.
  • Participate in knowledge management and documentation updates.
  • Contribute to automation and efficiency initiatives in AMS delivery.

Stakeholder & Delivery Management

  • Act as a point of contact for business users during support engagements.
  • Participate in daily/weekly status calls, service reviews, and governance meetings.
  • Provide clear communication on issue status, risks, and dependencies.
  • Support audits, compliance, and system health checks.

Requirements

Required Skills & Competencies

Technical Skills

  • Strong hands-on experience in SAP AMS support.
  • Good understanding of SAP business processes.
  • Knowledge of ITIL framework (Incident, Problem, Change Management).
  • Experience with SAP tools such as:
  • SAP Solution Manager
  • SAP Transport Management System (TMS)
  • SAP OSS Notes

Functional & Soft Skills

  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work in 24x7 or shift-based support models (if required).
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams.
  • Customer-focused mindset with attention to detail.
