We are a spin-off from ETH Zürich, aiming to bridge the gap between metal part design and machining. Our AI-powered technology empowers manufacturers to prioritize their clients’ needs and deliver high-quality products to the market. The Role

You will design, develop, and continuously improve Manukai’s solution. You will be responsible for driving architectural direction and implementing system integrations. You will work closely with the CTO and the engineering team to create highly operable, scalable, and maintainable products. You will also troubleshoot and optimize data flows between services. As an early hire at Manukai, you will become a key member of our startup. We anticipate your proactive contribution of innovative ideas to shape our product and company.

• Develop and maintain the backbone of Manukai’s software stack.
• Lead the integration of Manukai’s software into external systems, including Siemens NX CAM.
• Automate and optimize processes and workflows.
• Deep dive into problems to find and create efficient solutions.
• Maintain high software quality and sustainable development practices. Review code and provide feedback to ensure best practices (e.g., testability, efficiency, and style).
• Document architecture and integration processes.

Manukai Tech Stack:

• C# – integration with Windows-based systems
• Python – backend and automation
• Electron – desktop application
• React – frontend
• C++ – high-performance modules

• Advanced degree (MSc or PhD) in a quantitative field, or significant professional experience building complex software systems in lieu of a degree.
• Strong experience in software engineering, with solid exposure to backend development and systems integration.
• Advanced knowledge of C# and Python.
• Strong software design and agile development skills.
• Extensive knowledge of Windows operating systems.
• Experience designing or maintaining data interfaces between applications and relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, PostgreSQL).
• Good understanding of version control, testing, continuous integration, build, deployment, and monitoring.
