__MAIN SCOPE AND PURPOSE:__ 

To ensure the smooth and highly effective performance of the People Operations function through professional planning, compliance, management, and administration of HR systems, processes, process assurance, workflow, budgeting, and departmental cost control. This position requires a high degree of systems and technology capability, including the capability to understand core system requirements, define API connection requirements, and implement a systemized process for critical workflows and reporting. 

To be a centralized support for people operations, leading, coaching, and overseeing the entire people ops team. Develop and drive a people strategy at every level of the organization, ensuring policies support and improve the employee experience and that policies are clear and well-defined. 

You will play a key role in fostering and aligning our company’s operating processes, process assurance, cost control, budgeting, and remedial process improvement. You will be the Scrum Master to the product owner (People & Culture Director) process & integration to coach and mentor members of the People Ops Scrum Team and others in the organization to ensure alignment on HR planning and strategies throughout the employment journey from onboarding to offboarding. You will be responsible for the overall quality of the HR Operations processes and will be required to review, copy edit, and write clear and easy-to-understand processes that support the Human Resources function in 7 countries. 

Building strong relationships with stakeholders and providing leadership to the people operations team internally and with suppliers by ensuring Mad Monkey's core values; Curiosity, Positivity, Courage, Sincerity, and Family Spirit have visibility within the business. You will be required to identify and coach in a local resource and provide coaching and mentorship in transitioning to a People Operations culture from a traditional HR culture. 

This is a remote position, with travel as necessary. You will lead the People Operations functions across Southeast Asia.

## CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Assist in the set-up and implementation of Factorial HRMIS systems, processes, process assurance, process compliance, resource planning, and HR global departmental budgets across all HR functions.
* Provide a strong interface into performance, including defining and tracking suitable KPIs and coaching a local team to transition to a local resource either internally or externally.
* Engage in-depth with finance and planning to ensure budgets, resources, and allocations are aligned with defined workflows and processes.
* Responsible for People Operations workflows and technology stack.

## MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Responsible for the management and updating of the HRMI systems to ensure both internal and external compliance.
* It is an integral part of the Global HR strategy planning and execution process, which also incorporates SCRUM.
* Internally consults with the business in HR resource planning, ensuring recruitment and manning for future growth are supported by operations.
* Responsible for all HR processes and systems, documentation and People Operations Team member's line management and coaching to ensure that we have robust processes supporting the business. Head of the People Operations Team.
* Implement critical process workflow to ensure critical processes have a process assurance workflow and measurement.
* Oversees the operations and administration component of the Learning and Development Director to ensure there is a consistent and documented path of development progression and that core KPIs are being tracked and reported upon.
* Overseas the operations and administration of the Global Comps and Bens team to ensure the global-wide rewards, feedback and incentives program is documented, managed key performance indicators are tracked and reported upon.
* Overseas the operations and administration of the People and Culture team to ensure that ESAT, morale and engagement in the Mad Monkey workforce are managed and reported upon in line with identified key performance indicators.
* Overseas the operations and administration of the Recruitment and HR resource planning team to ensure that days to hire, induction, employment bounce and hiring processes are managed and reported upon in line with identified key performance indicators.
* Overseas the operations and administration of the regional people operations teams to ensure that core processes are reported, tracked and assured and that core metrics and key performance indicators are managed and reported upon.
* Works with the Human Resources team and all relevant stakeholders to ensure the transition from a traditional HR department to a modern People Operations team.
* Ensures we have adequate workflow, processes, KPIs measurement, tracking and budgetary compliance and work to migrate the role to the local team.

## FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT:

* Inputs into global budgets and tracks expenses ensuring alignment with budget.
* Oversees and manages the work flow of the authorization of approval processes of recruitment ATRS, travel requests, expenses, holiday and absence requests, ensuring maximum flexibility and effective cost management. Ensures wage cost is in line with budget/revenue expectations.
* Ensure that departmental revenue and expenses are in line with budgeted guidelines.
* Improve the profitability and cost saving of the operation by driving process improvements with technology, streamlining processes and reducing costs where practicable.

TEAM MANAGEMENT:

* Provides dynamic consistent leadership to the People Operations team, developing a strong team culture in line with company values and ethos, which supports high levels of delivery, effective communication and knowledge sharing.
* Coach and support Regional and Global managers with queries and in the delivery of departmental standards, which achieve and exceed company benchmark expectations and Internal and external standards.
* Ensure that the Standard Operating Practices and company standards are communicated to the team through regular training sessions and in conjunction with compliance audits.

## JOB REQUIREMENTS:

* Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Psychology, or a related field
* Previous People Ops experience required
* Proficient with Google Workspace, applicant tracking systems (ATS), HRIS, payroll systems, onboarding, and performance management tools
* With at least 5 years of experience in Human Resources including familiarity with employee relations, internal communications, recruitment, compensation & benefits, training & development, and diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) principles
* Ideally gained in fast-paced, dynamic environments, helping to scale/manage rapid growth
* With Stakeholder management experience
* Experience in the hospitality industry is an advantage
* With strong knowledge of HR operations and local/regional recruitment specifics. Ideally has experience working across multiple markets in South East Asia.
* Must be driven, motivated and excited for the challenges that come from working for a high-growth start up
