About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Off-Page SEO Specialist to join our growing SEO team in Malta. In this role, you will own the external authority-building efforts across a portfolio of iGaming and casino affiliate websites, with a direct impact on organic rankings, domain authority, and referral traffic. You will work at the intersection of link acquisition, content strategy, and stakeholder management, bridging off-site work with on-site execution to drive measurable results in one of the most competitive verticals online.

Tasks

Link Building & Authority Development

  • Design and execute scalable link-building strategies tailored to the iGaming vertical, targeting high-authority placements across casino, gambling, and gaming-adjacent publications
  • Run structured outreach campaigns to identify, pitch, and secure backlinks on relevant, reputable domains
  • Identify and recover lost or broken link opportunities through continuous backlink monitoring
  • Collaborate with the content team to brief and produce linkable assets, editorial pieces, data studies, infographics, that attract natural backlinks at scale
  • Manage and maintain the company's private blog network (PBN): domain health monitoring, content scheduling, hosting diversification, footprint minimisation, and DR upkeep
  • Own end-to-end backlinking campaigns across PBN, outreach, and niche edit channels — from target URL prioritisation to anchor strategy and monthly reporting

Stakeholder & Partner Management

  • Build and maintain relationships with external publishers, digital agencies, and media partners (including international markets)
  • Work closely with agencies to co-design, brief, and evaluate digital marketing campaigns with an off-page SEO lens
  • Coordinate with internal departments: Content, CRM, Social Media, and Sponsorship, to align off-page efforts with broader brand and campaign objectives

Analysis & Reporting

  • Conduct competitor backlink analysis to identify gap opportunities and benchmark performance
  • Track and report on key off-page KPIs: domain rating growth, referring domain count, anchor text distribution, link velocity, and organic traffic impact
  • Monitor brand mentions and unlinked citations; convert them into link opportunities where relevant
  • Support keyword research and content gap analysis to inform both outreach targeting and editorial briefs

Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Act as the link between on-site and off-site SEO, ensuring link acquisition efforts are aligned with internal linking structure, pillar pages, and priority URL targets
  • Feed insights from off-page data back into on-page and technical SEO priorities

Requirements

  • 2+ years of hands-on off-page SEO experience, ideally in iGaming, affiliate, or another competitive digital vertical
  • Proven track record of link acquisition at scale, with a portfolio of measurable results (DR growth, ranking improvements, traffic uplift)
  • Proficiency with standard SEO tooling: Ahrefs, Majestic, Google Search Console, Google Analytics, RankActive
  • Strong understanding of backlink quality signals: topical relevance, traffic, DR/DA, anchor diversity, link placement context
  • Experience briefing content for SEO. You don't need to write everything, but you need to know what makes a piece worth linking to
  • Comfortable working in a multi-site, multi-market environment with competing priorities
  • Solid written English; French is a strong plus

Nice to Have

  • Experience in regulated or grey-market iGaming markets (EU, francophone Africa, LATAM)
  • Basic understanding of technical SEO concepts (canonicals, hreflang, crawl budget) to communicate effectively with on-page and dev teams
  • Experience working with or evaluating link-building agencies
