We are actively looking for a Cryptocurrency Trader to strengthen our team.

The Role

As a Cryptocurrency Trader at Lykke, you will be at the forefront of our trading operations, by harnessing the power of data-driven insights and mathematical models. You will be implementing, testing, and developing, different trading strategies, and contributing to the dynamic landscape of the cryptocurrency market.

• Systematically implement, evaluate, and optimize trading strategies.
• Manage and monitor trading positions and exposures in real-time, employing quantitative risk management methodologies to maintain optimal risk-reward profiles to ensure adherence to risk limits.
• Maintain clear and organized records of trading activities and performance metrics.
• Execute timely and accurate cryptocurrency trades, leveraging quantitative models and algorithms.
• Analyze market trends, news, and events to make informed trading decisions.
• Actively communicate trading insights and strategies with the broader team.
• Collaborate closely with the compliance team to ensure adherence to regulatory compliance in all trading activities.

Minimal requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field, OR proven experience as a Cryptocurrency Trader in a professional capacity, demonstrating successful implementation of quantitative trading strategies.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex market data and develop actionable insights.
• Exceptional problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to tackling trading challenges.
• Ability to thrive in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment, making data-driven decisions with speed and accuracy.
• Excellent communication skills to articulate complex quantitative trading strategies and insights effectively.
• Fluency in English.

Desired skill set:

• Proficiency in advanced quantitative techniques, including statistical analysis and machine learning.
• Exposure to coding in Python, R, or C#.
• Experience with algorithmic trading.
• Deep understanding of the cryptocurrency market, including different coins, tokens, and market dynamics.
• Proficiency in technical and fundamental analysis to inform trading decisions.
• Familiarity with various trading platforms, order execution, and risk management.
• Proficiency in German.
