This role is ideal for someone who thrives in dynamic environments, enjoys building processes and teams from the ground up, and is passionate about delivering high-quality products reliably and efficiently. You’ll be working closely with engineering, quality, and leadership to ensure our production runs smoothly and our customers receive their products on time.
Tasks
- Production & Capacity Planning: Oversee daily manufacturing activities, ensuring quality, safety, and schedule compliance. Translate production plans into shift schedules, conduct capacity planning and bottleneck analysis aligned with business growth.
- Process Development: Ensure that fabrication processes, work instructions and SOPs fulfil production standards, together with the responsible engineering teams.
- Production KPIs & Continuous Improvement: Define and monitor production KPIs such as OEE, yield, scrap, and delivery performance. Initiate and implement improvements in collaboration with engineering teams and external suppliers.
- Production Operations: Build up and support leading a multidisciplinary team of operators and technicians, promoting a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Ensure production staff are trained in processes, equipment, and safety protocols, and verify compliance.
- Inventory & Logistics: Define and manage (physically and logically) inventories, intralogistics, and warehouse operations at our production facilities in Stäfa. Coordinate shipping to / from external fabrication partners and customers.
- Supply Chain: Develop and implement strategies for a resilient and cost-effective supply chain. Contribute to the assessment, selection, and onboarding of suppliers and external manufacturing partners.
- Compliance: Implement requirements in production and supply chain to ensure compliance with relevant standards and enable certification of the production according to customer specifications.
- ERP / MES: Ensure accurate tracking and reporting of production and inventory data in ERP / MES.
Requirements
- Degree in Industrial, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in production, supply chain, and logistics operations in a high-tech electronics / optics / semiconductor cleanroom manufacturing environment.
- Hands-on experience with ERP / MES systems, production planning and production KPI monitoring.
- Experience applying improvement methods such as lean manufacturing, visual management, 5S, and flexible workforce planning in production.
- Experience in optimizing supply chain, and in managing partnerships with suppliers and manufacturing partners.
- Good communication skills in both English and German.
- Effective communicator across multicultural and cross-functional teams.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
