atmio is on a mission to save 1 Billion tonnes of CO2 emissions yearly which is as much as all emissions from commercial aviation worldwide. We are building a smart greenhouse gas measurement platform with portable sensor technology for energy companies that have to quantify, report, and reduce methane emissions.

We are at the beginning of building a team of best-in-class talents, to solve this challenge, and tackle climate change!

Tasks

  • Advanced Microcontroller Programming: Take a key role in developing and optimizing software for various microcontrollers (ESP32, STM). This includes creating firmware that enhances the functionality (BLE, OTA) and efficiency of embedded systems.
  • Microcontroller-Based Electronics Design: Focus on the design of electronic circuits that are centered around microcontrollers. This involves schematic design, simulation, and PCB layout.
  • Soldering and Assembly of PCBs: Assemble, solder and test/debug prototype microcontroller boards. Requires a good understanding of microcontroller pinouts and functionalities.
  • Prototype Building, Testing, and Maintenance: Conduct rigorous testing to ensure that the microcontroller software and hardware work seamlessly together. Maintain and update firmware and hardware as needed.
  • Selection and Testing of Components: Assist in choosing the right electronic parts, such as sensors, actuators, and batteries, that are compatible with microcontrollers. Test these components to ensure optimal integration and performance.
  • Project Collaboration: Work closely with the leadership and founding team, contributing significantly to the hardware product vision with a special focus on the microcontroller electronics. Provide insights and idea on how the capabilities can be leveraged to meet project goals and innovate product design.

Requirements

  • Educational Background: Currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in electronic engineering (ideally with a curriculum focus on microcontrollers and embedded systems).
  • Microcontroller Programming Expertise: Exceptional skills in programming microcontrollers (such as Arduino, ESP32, STM chips), including a deep understanding of firmware development, debugging, and optimization techniques.
  • Practical Experience in Microcontroller Electronics: Demonstrated experience in the design, soldering, and assembly of microcontroller-based electronic circuits. This includes proficiency in using CAD tools for PCB design (Fusion 360 and Altium) and a thorough understanding of microcontroller ecosystems (STM32CubeIDE, VS-Code).
  • Knowledge of Communication Protocols: In-depth knowledge of communication protocols (UART, I2C, SPI, Bluetooth BLE) enabling seamless sensor integration.
  • Innovative and Independent: A creative thinker with a passion for microcontroller projects, demonstrated by personal or academic projects. An independent worker who can initiate and execute with minimal supervision.
  • Communication Skills: Strong ability to communicate concepts clearly and effectively, both in writing and presentations, to a wide range of audiences.
  • Language Proficiency: Fluency in English is required. Additional language skills may be beneficial depending on the location and scope of the projects.
