Hi, I’m Alejandro Martínez, an independent headhunter specialised in finance and operations roles.
I am looking for a Finance & Administration Manager with a strong hands-on mindset, agility, business acumen, and a real appetite to get involved in a key moment of transformation and growth.
I am currently partnering with an international premium cycling brand, globally recognised for its innovation, design excellence, and high-performance products.
After being part of a major European group for several years, the company is now entering a very exciting phase of independence and international growth, including expansion plans in North America (U.S. and Canada), as well as the reinforcement of its financial and operational autonomy from its former parent group.
This transition involves the creation of new entities, a full ERP migration to Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, and the implementation of new financial reporting and consolidation processes.
This is a small company of around 50 employees, but with strong growth potential. Its business model is not based on in-house manufacturing, but rather on the assembly and subsequent distribution of its products.
Reporting directly to the CFO, you will take ownership of the day-to-day accounting, finance operations, and controlling activities for the group’s entities in Spain and the U.S., while also playing a leading role in the ERP implementation, external audits, tax coordination, compliance topics, and process improvement initiatives.
This is a broader and more senior role than a traditional Financial Controller position. It is ideal for someone who enjoys combining operational finance, accounting rigour, team coordination, and business support within an international company going through a high-impact transformation.
You will be expected to act as the CFO’s trusted right hand across finance administration matters, helping bring more structure, visibility, and autonomy to the function.
Main Responsibilities
Lead the monthly closing process and ensure the accuracy of accounting records across the group entities.
Oversee and validate accounting entries in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, ensuring compliance with Spanish GAAP, IFRS, and U.S. GAAP where relevant.
Supervise and coordinate the execution of AP, AR and GL reconciliations, ensuring strong financial control and timely issue resolution.
Own weekly AP/AR follow-up, debt reports, and ageing analysis, maintaining visibility on working capital and cash exposure.
Support and progressively take ownership of group consolidation activities across Spain, the U.S., and future international entities such as Canada.
Lead and help finalise the ERP implementation and rollout, including process design, chart of accounts structure, finance workflows, controls, and reporting logic.
Act as a key finance point of contact for external auditors, advisors, and service providers during annual audits and ad hoc reviews.
Coordinate finance-related tax and compliance matters together with external advisors, ensuring deadlines and obligations are met correctly.
Review and support key contracts and finance-related legal/administrative documentation from a business and risk perspective.
Support budgeting and forecasting processes, improving visibility and financial planning discipline.
Contribute to the development and automation of financial reports and dashboards; Power BI knowledge is a plus.
Act as the main finance partner for cross-functional teams such as logistics, operations, and purchasing.
Help strengthen internal controls, improve finance processes, and build a more scalable finance function.
Manage and support one direct report, with the potential to coordinate additional outsourced/external support over time.
Monday to Wednesday: office-based, usually starting between 7:30 and 8:00 a.m., with a working day of around 8 hours.
Thursday and Friday: remote, usually from 8:00 a.m. to around 4:00 p.m.
