Salary: from EUR 50.000 annually (for 38h, full time) , market rates apply elsewhere

About the role:

You’ll take charge of procurement on a global scale, building relationships with international suppliers, driving value for money and ensuring that every purchase we make reflects our values of sustainability and social responsibility. Your expertise will drive both operational efficiency and ethical practices across our locations in Europe and Africa.

Tasks

  • Develop global procurement strategies to maximize value, quality, and impact
  • Lead supplier selection and contract negotiation to secure the best terms
  • Ensure effective, efficient and compliant procurement processes across all offices and regions
  • Foster strong, ethical relationships with suppliers, ensuring continuous improvement
  • Oversee purchase orders, logistics, and deliveries to ensure smooth operations.
  • Champion sustainability, ethical sourcing, and local supplier engagement

Requirements

  • Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
  • Min. 5 years in procurement, ideally in an international or NGO context
  • Strong negotiation and contract management skills
  • Analytical thinker with a focus on problem-solving
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (BMD, Solver)
  • Fluency in English and German is essential; French or Portuguese is an asset
  • Commitment to ethical and sustainable sourcing
  • Strong communication, leadership, and team collaboration skills
  • Influencing without authority
