IT Manager

Tasks
Infrastructure Management:
- Maintain, monitor, and support IT infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance and security.
- Perform routine maintenance, updates, and upgrades on servers and network devices.
- Implement and manage security measures to protect against threats and vulnerabilities.
Virtual Machine (VM) Management:
- Create, configure, and manage virtual machines.
- Monitor and optimize VM performance for efficient resource use.
- Troubleshoot and resolve VM-related issues.
System Administration:
- Administer and support specialized production software, including installation and license management.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls.
- Ensure regular data backups and enforce security procedures against threats.
IT Architecture & Business Applications:
- Support IT architecture strategy and develop automation interfaces between business applications.
User Support:
- Conduct regular security awareness training.
- Manage the ticketing system and provide technical support for hardware, software, and network issues.
- Install, configure, and maintain end-user devices, offering training and assistance as needed
Requirements
Qualifications
- IT Infrastructure: Strong knowledge of servers, networks, security practices, and both bare-metal & cloud computing.
- VM Management: Proficiency in managing and administering virtual machines.
- System Administration: Expertise in MacOS, Google Workspace, RHEL, installation, licensing, and user account management.
- IT Architecture: Experience in IT architecture and business application integration.
- Cybersecurity: In-depth knowledge of cybersecurity principles and practices.
- Backup & Recovery: Familiarity with backup and disaster recovery processes.
- Problem-Solving: Excellent troubleshooting abilities.
- Task Management: Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with effective end-user training and support.
Education
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in IT, Computer Science, or related field.
Experience
- 5+ years in IT management, focusing on infrastructure, system administration, and user support.
- Experience in IT security, threat detection, and mitigation.
- Prior experience managing a ticketing system and technical support.
Skills
- Technical Proficiency: Expertise in IT infrastructure, servers, networks, and VMs. Strong skills in system administration, Active Directory, licensing, and backups. Enterprise Architecture modeling is a plus.
- Security: Ability to implement and manage comprehensive IT security measures.
- Adaptability: Work effectively in a dynamic environment, managing multiple tasks.
- Project Management: Manage IT projects from start to finish, aligning with organizational goals.
- Collaboration: Work closely with management and departments on IT strategy and business integration.
