To support our continued growth, we are looking for a:
Tape Out Engineer - Integrated Photonics
Tasks
- Design, simulation and layout of integrated photonic components and circuits for strategic roadmap projects.
- PDK/PCM building block development, incl. design, simulation, layout, test planning and data analysis.
- Interact with the 200mm characterization team, collect capabilities, design test structures, and support in test planning and data analysis (design for testability).
- Interact with the 200mm process team and yield engineering, collect capabilities and requirements, design test structures, support in test planning and data processing and analysis (design for manufacturability).
- concise and clear documentation and reporting.
- Contribute to mask assembly and tape-out management when needed.
- Support for PDK project management.
Requirements
- MSc or PhD in photonics or related fields.
- Minimum of 3 years hands-on experience in integrated optics design, preferably industrial.
- Solid understanding of different photonic material platforms.
- Photonic layout experience (e.g. IPKISS, GDSFactory) and design experience (e.g. Lumerical).
- Experience designing active components (III-V) and heterogeneous integration is a plus.
- Experience with setting up design and layout databases is a plus.
- Passionate about programming and data analysis, comfortable using Python and git.
- Excellent technical problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and reporting.
- Ability to work independently and with remote teams.
- Working proficiency in English (French is a plus).
