Job summary

Incubated at the Lufthansa Innovation Hub, Quotepilot is an agentic AI venture that is transforming freight forwarding operations and logistics.

Our AI-powered routing and price optimization engine enables forwarders to autonomously generate multimodal transport quotes for any shipper request - across email, web interface, API, or phone - thus boosting bookings, maximizing margins, and cutting operational costs. An MVP of our solution is already in daily operational use at a leading global freight forwarder.

In order to take this venture to the next level, we are looking for a strong technical co-founder to join us on our mission to build the most powerful agentic AI in logistics.

As a founding team member, you’ll receive a substantial equity package and become part of an exciting venture with initial traction, a fantastic team, and a beautiful office space in the heart of Berlin.

Stellenbeschreibung

• Improve upon and productise our current MVP solution for customer #1 (built in Java), and/or rebuild Quotepilot from the ground up with the tool stack of your choice to make it more scalable and onboard new customers
• Be responsible for all aspects relating to our tech and product development, incl. hands-on coding, developing our technology and product roadmap, and optimising our tech stack, infrastructure and processes
• Hire and manage your own team of devs, data engineers, product owners, UX designers, etc.
• Support our fundraising activities, talk to investors & stakeholders to secure necessary resources

Anforderungsprofil

• Proven track record as a VC-backed startup tech lead (e.g. CTO, VP Engineering), Big Tech (e.g. Tech Lead, Engineering Manager) or similar.
• Strong understanding of a tech stack of your choice, including backend and frontend technologies (e.g., Python, Ruby on Rails, JavaScript (React) & CSS). Ability to develop features end-to-end. Proficiency in translating designs from Figma into functional code.
• Basic experience in, or willingness to learn about Artificial Intelligence, prevalent commercial / open-source LLMs (GPT, Llama, Gemini, Claude, or similar), and their integration
• Hands-on DevOps experience (= "You Build It, You Run It")
• Demonstrated ability in assembling and leading high-performing tech teams to deliver reliable, scalable technical solutions that meet product & business requirements
• Excellent communication skills with technical and non-technical colleagues alike
• You should be based either in Berlin, Frankfurt or Munich, with the possibility of working hybrid
