
PMO Manager & Governance
Location: Friedrichshafen, Germany
Position Type: This is a remote role with minimal travel (1–2 visits/Month) to the client location as required.
Must be a German Speaker
Role Summary
The PMO Manager will lead program governance, reporting, and coordination activities for the enterprise PLM transformation program replacing legacy systems and establishing a harmonized engineering platform.
The role ensures transparent program execution, structured decision-making, risk management, and alignment between business divisions, IT teams, and external partners.
Key Responsibilities
Establish and operate the program management office for the PLM transformation initiative.
Manage program schedules, milestones, and deliverables across migration, process design, and rollout activities.
Coordinate program governance meetings including steering committees, operational reviews, and program planning sessions.
Maintain executive dashboards covering program progress, risks, key performance indicators, and decision points. • Track dependencies across workstreams including system migration, business process alignment, training, and rollout readiness.
Manage risk identification, mitigation planning, and escalation procedures across the program.
Support vendor coordination and ensure alignment between consulting partners and internal delivery teams.
Facilitate backlog prioritization and planning cycles in collaboration with business and technology leaders. • Ensure program documentation, decision logs, and action tracking are maintained consistently.
Support financial tracking including budget monitoring, resource utilization, and cost forecasting. Required Skills & Experience
Experience managing large enterprise transformation programs involving engineering or manufacturing systems.
Strong understanding of project governance, risk management, and program reporting.
Experience coordinating global stakeholders across business divisions and technology teams.
Familiarity with agile delivery frameworks and structured project methodologies.
Strong stakeholder communication and executive presentation skills.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Information Technology, or Business Management.
Professional certification in project management or program management preferred.
Experience in automotive, industrial manufacturing, or engineering system environments is advantageous.
