Hardware Development Engineer (m/f/x) Aerospace

Project description:

In this role, you will work as part of an integrated project team with a focus on custom electronics development. This position will contribute to the development, certification and delivery of electronic systems for a next generation electrical aircraft design.

Tasks:

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to design, review and validate functional, safety and performance requirements of the project
• Analyze review results and define review metrics
• Meeting customer requirements and improving the overall quality and integrity of the design
• Active role in defining and optimizing the hardware-electronics design and development processes and tools
• Implement the product development lifecycle according to RTCA/DO-254 guidelines
• Design of electronic hardware according to RTCA/DO-160 and industry standards
• Support embedded software development and system integration
• Work on ad-hoc projects related to technology readiness, prototypes or product development

• Lead technical presentations, product evaluations and benchmarks

Skills:

• M.Sc. in electrical engineering/electronics or similar degree
• At least 3 years of professional experience (aerospace or similar industry)
• Experience in the design life cycle of processing, communication and control electronics boards
• Experience in the development of "high" voltage systems (>400 V DC) for motor control and drive applications, switch mode power supply design and/or battery management systems
• Experience in FPGA design and verification lifecycle and assurance process according to DO-254 guidelines
• Fluency in English
  
  Another plus is:
• Experience in safety-critical applications and hardware protection/monitoring architectures

• Extensive experience in designing electronic hardware according to functional, safety and certification requirements
  Fluency in English
