JustPlay is looking for a Games Analyst to join our Data team. You’ll work closely with game designers, developers, and producers to uncover insights across our hybrid-casual games portfolio — improving player engagement, guiding monetization strategies, and informing decisions through clear and impactful data.
You will play a key role in shaping how we understand player engagement, retention, monetization, and in-game economy—building the analytical foundation that powers our game strategy. We’re looking for someone who combines strong analytical ability with hands-on gaming experience, deep curiosity, and fluency in interpreting complex player dynamics.
Tasks
- You have at least 5 years of experience in a data or game analytics role, ideally with a focus on mobile free-to-play games or consumer-facing products
- You are proficient in SQL and have experience with data transformation tools such as BigQuery, Looker, or similar BI platforms. Bonus if you have experience working with mobile attribution and ad revenue tracking tools.
- You understand the game development lifecycle and can work seamlessly with cross-functional teams, including QA, game design, and engineering
- You’re comfortable with A/B testing, interpreting experiment results, and distilling data into actionable insights
- Experience with analytics platforms such as Firebase, Amplitude, GameAnalytics, or Adjust is highly valuable
- You communicate clearly, work independently, and can confidently guide tracking and analytics discussions with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Requirements
- Analyze game-specific data including player engagement, level progression, retention, and monetization metrics (including both ad-based and in-app purchase revenue models).
- Design, build, and automate dashboards and reports that support ongoing A/B testing, feature evaluations, and performance tracking across multiple titles.
- Evaluate the impact of individual game changes on our broader games portfolio, identifying patterns and trade-offs that influence overall performance and strategic decision-making.
- Support the implementation of tracking events in tools like Firebase, Amplitude, or GameAnalytics—including defining what events should be tracked, why they matter, and how to use them to inform data-driven product decisions.
- Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and developers to translate findings into actionable recommendations that improve KPIs across the hybrid-casual games portfolio.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and share best practices to drive game design, monetization strategies, and user experience improvements.
